Illinois State Representative Robyn gabel
The children and staff of SCC's Lincoln Campus in Downtown Skokie welcomed Representative Robyn Gabel for a site visit in July. The House Majority Leader was able to witness the great work at SCC's Head Start and Early Head Start programs and hear firsthand about the importance of increased and long-term funding for these critical programs. We are grateful for Rep. Gabel's support of Early Childhood Education in the 18th District.

READ TO ME
An exclusive partnership with Skokie Public Library, the Read to Me program provides one-on-one, language-rich, literature-based interactions to the littles of Skokie. Currently the Skokie Public Library is planning to work with other community Early Learning Providers to bring Read To Me to as many children as possible. SCC is so grateful to all the Library staff, administration and volunteers to bring such an amazing learning experience to our little children.

Susie Parker, founder of Sleep Baby Love and a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant through the Family Sleep Institute, asked Joanna to weigh in on the important topic of sleep. As a working professional and mother of 4 children, Joanna shared valuable insight on consistency and developmentally appropriate sleep patterns for young children.

At SCC, we strive to bring your children excellence and proudly partner with New Leaf Park to offer safe and secure infant through toddler gated play, preschool, kindergarten and school aged equipment, raised garden beds, abundant outdoor space to run around and explore, and onsite restrooms. A picnic area and event space are protected by large shade sails.
FIGHT THE FLU
SCC teams up with Kids First Pediatrics Partners to offer onsite vaccination for children and adults. Nurses from the practice administer vaccines at SCC. Vaccines may be available for children, siblings, parents and employees.
